The film club is open to all members of the Stonham Aspal Community Council (to fulfil the film licence conditions. This also means we cannot advertise the titles of the  films, but they are in the Community Council Magazine!). Join the Community Council now or on the day and get automatic membership to the Club!

The news will be sent out weekly on a Saturday morning to anyone who subscribes on the Stonham web site. See on the right hand column.

People can now post news to the web site, as long as I have registered your email. If you’d like to post news then please contact me: This is different from subscribing to the weekly newsletter – Once you are added to being able to send news – you can do it as often as you wish. It will then appear on the web site and be sent out weekly to subscribers.

Please help get people to sign up – it will be a good way of letting people know of events and happenings! And let me know if you want to send news …

On Saturday 12th September between 12pm and 4pm, we will be holding a village fete at the recreation ground in order to raise money for the play area. We would love for you to join us and take part in this fun day for all ages with activities including zorbing, bouncy castles, face painting, toddler activities, traditional games, lucky dip, raffle and much more. There will also be various food/drinks stalls including a BBQ, bar and tuck shop. Save the date in your diaries and we really hope to see you there!

Just a reminder that on Bank Holiday Saturday and Sunday the Village Hall will be open for the sale of lunches, teas and crafts …

Thanks to everyone who voted for us in the Jewsons grants application. Unfortunately we heard last week that we were unsuccessful; which was a huge shame but as you saw, there were so many worthwhile projects applying for the support. We haven’t given up though and we are beavering away applying for more grants. More news to follow….

Thank you to everyone who completed our survey. Once the information has been pulled together, it will be posted on this site. A special thanks to the people who have offered to help either with the project, or with groups once the refurbishment is finished. We have saved your names and will be in touch!!
